We are looking for a proactive, detail-orientated Infrastructure Engineer to join our team. As an Infrastructure Engineer, you will be responsible for the design, implementation, ongoing support of critical IT infrastructure for organisational and customer environments. Successful candidates will be capable of both autonomous and collaborative work, demonstrate an aptitude for problem-solving, possess excellent time-management skills, and have a genuine desire to learn new tools and technology stacks. Ideal candidates will also have experience or interest in networking, containerisation, automation, and cloud solutions.

Key Responibilities
Design and Implementation:
- Planning, design, and implementation of IT infrastructure solutions (physical and virtual).
- Ensuring timely delivery of solutions, aligned to customer requirements.
Maintenance and Support:
- Ongoing maintenance and support of deployed IT infrastructure.
- Timely troubleshooting and resolution of reported IT Infrastructure issues.
- Regular system health monitoring and maintenance, including backups, patch-management/vulnerability management, and software/hardware upgrades in line with lifecycle management.
Documentation:
- Creation, development, and maintenance of comprehensive documentation for all deployed, monitored, and supported infrastructure.
- Documentation of critical incidents, and steps taken to redress related issues.
Automation:
- Development and maintenance of scripts and/or automation tools used to increase efficiency of common system administration tasks.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or equivalent industry experience.
- System administration/support background.
- Experience taking the lead on IT project deliveries.
Technical:
Mature knowledge in the following areas:
- Networking (Cisco, Juniper, HP, Dell).
- Networking technologies and protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP etc).
- Virtualisation (VMware, Hyper-V).
- Scripting/IaC tools (Ansible/AWX, Python, PowerShell, BASH).
- System Administration (Microsoft, Linux).
- Backup technologies (NetBackup/Veeam).
Non-technical:
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a cross-team function.
- Excellent time management and organisation skills.
- Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies and tools.
Desirable:
- Knowledge and use of Source Control (Gitlab, BitBucket).
- Experience working in an Agile team.
General Requirements
- Occasional UK travel may be required to attend team or customer meetings, events, and training activities.
- Maintain professional development to meet the changing demands of the job and participate in appropriate training activities, including mandatory training.
- Undertake such other duties as may be required from time to time, commensurate with the level of skill and competence of this post, to assist with the smooth running of the business.
- Understand, comply with, and ensure adherence to organisational standards, particularly those related to security, privacy, and ethics.

- Base salary: Up to £78,000 per annum, depending on experience.
