The scholarship scheme was launched earlier this year to help high-achieving young people overcome financial barriers to studying BSc Computer Science or BSc Cyber Security at University of Gloucestershire.

We’re building a wider partnership with the University of Gloucestershire (UoG) and beyond the Golden Valley’s Tech Futures Scholarships have had some excellent conversations with Vice Chancellor Clare Marchant about how O8 can support their graduates during and after their studies.
Supporting the next generation of talent
At O8 we have always been passionate about helping the next generation get their head start in cyber. I myself started my career as an apprentice and know first-hand the value of the practical, hands-on experience it offers.

We've recently welcomed six more apprentices in partnership with Cirencester College, Gloucestershire College and UWE. We were inundated with applications and encouraged by the quality, curiosity and ambition of the people who applied.
For us, this work matters. If the UK wants stronger cyber capability, we need to give people real opportunities to enter the sector, learn from experienced technical teams and work on problems that count.
